This series on Stalingrad was shot between October 2020 to December 2021. There are some images that were taken during the corona virus lockdown, the photos were taken after the curfew at night, others in day time.
Stalingrad also known as the crack capital of Paris is a pretty dangerous and sombre area in the 19th arrondissement. I noticed that by the night the atmosphere in Stalingrad gets lonely, some roads can lead you to danger.
In my images, you will be able to see that there are not many women, that is because there are more men in this area outside, especially at night.
As a photographer, and as a woman, I have come across some things while out taking photos, there was once a man who ran up to me and threw a glass bottle at my feet, which had got me two cuts. Some men would come up very close to me and ask me questions, either personal or about my camera.
Overall, I want to portray Stalingrad in the most raw and honest way that I could.
